Sault Ste. Marie’s Brad Jacobs lost 6-3 to Glenn Howard Saturday night in semifinal action at the Players Championship in Toronto.
That concluded the season for the Brier champions, who earned a silver medal at the recent world championships and qualified for the playoff round in all four Grand Slam of Curling events this season.
"It’s all good," Jacobs said following Saturday’s game. "We’re not disappointed. We all consider making it to the semis here a success."
Team Jacobs, with third Ryan Fry, second E.J. Harnden and lead Ryan Harnden beat Norway’s Thomas Ulsrud 9-5 in quarter-final action.
