Algoma Residential Community Hospice is recognizing outstanding contributors to its work as an end-of-life care facility.
The 2021 Hospice Heroes recognizes Armida Brown, Kelly Leith and United Steelworkers’ locals active in Algoma District.
Brown is a volunteer who assists in various ways, including at ARCH’s kitchen, reception desk and events.
Leith is the hospice’s clinical care lead.
“She inspires the entire ARCH team with her strengths, and always creates a safe and comforting environment for our residents and their families,” a release says.
United Steelworkers help with renovations, donate baskets to residents and contribute cash to ARCH’s operation.
